Hide & SeekMarch-Jun 2019

This art installation, composed of inflatable structures, explores the boundary between private and public. In university life, we frequently move between public spaces, living in dormitories with six people and studios with twelve people, often lacking personal space. Crying, anxiety, and depression seem inappropriate in public spaces. We put on masks to play a role that minimally impact others, and our hidden emotions are hard to express . We hope to create a shelter to express this conflict. Entering the space requires effort to overcome its elasticity, mirroring the struggle to express emotions. Once inside, the installation deeply embraces the individual, symbolizing the relaxation that follows emotional release.
